    Do you mean that you can't get the tunnel to work through a proxy? What type of proxy would you use it with?

    Ok.. that was too quick a reply from me...

    in case of go6 they have a client application (which is supposed to do something i guess to get the IP6 addr or something from their gateway from where it might be getting NATd , ) which is failing to connect to its gateway. I am connecting from a university connection with proxy authentication for external connection. The go6 client is giving connection error while attempting to connect to their server, which "could be" because it is not doing the authentication at local outgoing proxy.

    About Hurricane... I tried it later coz I got the pw very late from them...

    I copied the settings as shown in hurricane site for WinVista. But, when I pinged the server it failed. It is expected as any external ICMP messages are failing even for ipv4 addres (who is the culprit? external traffic not getting NAT via proxy when I use ping of a command prompt? seems like , bu frankly speaking I dont know... )

    Then another doubt I have is the configuration itself. I see two things

    1. They are saying something about protocol41 at firewall... I dont know what is my network proxy. Below is the config command for vista

    netsh interface ipv6 add v6v4tunnel IP6Tunnel
    netsh interface ipv6 add address IP6Tunnel 2001:470:1f04:3fa::2
    netsh interface ipv6 add route ::/0 IP6Tunnel 2001:470:1f04:3fa::1

    now I am expected to use my local address if my proxy is using protocol41... and when I tried to reconfigure... I got command prompt error

    "You were not connected because a duplicate name exists on the network. If joining a domain, go to System in Control Panel to change the computer name and try again. If joining a workgroup, choose another workgroup name."

    Well I am not going to change my computer name... can I delete existing entry which I already made? (btw where is the entry made? in my computer or the server?)

    2. how does the IP config output of those who successfully connected look like? Do you have a new network connection or something? just out of curiosity.. coz I am not seeing any...

    I am not really into comp networks.. .so plz keep ur reply in novice levels .. :)

    Regards,

    Viswas
